13. Galactia heringeri Burkart (1971: 772) View in CoL . Type: — BRAZIL. Distrito Federal: Brasília, Heringer 8262 (holotype SI!; paratype UB!) ( Fig. 4C View FIGURE 4 ).
Prostrate to decumbent herbs; stem cylindrical; leaves pinnately trifoliolate, petiole up to 40 mm; inflorescences with aggregated flowers.
Selected specimen: — BRAZIL. Distrito Federal: Brasília , 4 March 2000, G. P. Silva & G. Abdala 4237 (CEN) .
Distribution: —Endemic to Brazil (DF, GO, MG).
Habitat and ecology:—Cerrado biome, growing generally in dry grassland and occasionally in moist grassland; in clay or rocky soils. The species is fire-resistant.
Phenology:— flowering and fruiting from November to March.
