19. Galactia martioides Burkart (1971: 742) View in CoL . Type: — ARGENTINA. Misiones: van de Venne (holotype SI 7483!) ( Fig. 2A View FIGURE 2 ) .
Twining herb; leaves digitately trifoliolate; petiole present; leaflets 3.4–9.4 × 0.7–2.5 cm; inflorescences subumbelliform; flowers 16–20 mm long.
Selected specimen: — BRAZIL. Rio Grande do Sul: Itaara , 5 March 2009, L.C.P. Lima & A. Pairet, 549 (ICN) .
Distribution: — Argentina and Brazil (RS).
Habitat and ecology:—Pampa biome, growing in open grassland, twining amongst grasses and other herbs, on sandy and clay soils, on steep slopes.
Phenology:— flowering and fruiting from January to April.
