Distribution and habitat. Europe ( Schmelz 2003; Schmelz & Collado 2010; Martin et al. 2015; Dózsa-Farkas 2019); Algeria ( Rota & Healy 1994); North America and Russia ( Schmelz 2003); Korea ( Dózsa-Farkas et al. 2018); Russia ( Degtyarev et al. 2023). Dominant in wet, not oxygen-deficient, not acidified soils in immediate vicinity of freshwater bodies ( Schmelz 2003).
Distribution in China. Xizang Autonomous Region ( Lu et al. 2018); Jilin Province ( Cui & Wang 2023).
