Micrillus irakensis (CAMERON, 1940)

M a t e r i a l e x a m i n e d: Iraq: 1 ex., Amara, VI.1956, leg. Khalaf ( NMP) ; 1 ex., Diwaniyah , 15.VII.1957, leg. Khalaf ( NMP). Syria: 1 ex., Prov. Deir ez-Zur, Euphrates (Halabiyyeh), 35°41'N, 39°49'E, at light, 17.-18.VI.1998, leg. Chvojka (cAss) .

C o m m e n t: Micrillus irakensis had been recorded only from Iraq and Israel. The above specimen from Syria represents a new country record.
