COMMENTS: The AMNH number of the holotype was given in the original description and the range was said to be southern Mexico, Central America , and south to Colombia (Bogota) and probably to Ecuador. Paratypes are the following specimens collected or cataloged before the 29 September 1891 publication date of costaricensis: AMNH 35370–35374 View Materials , unsexed and undated Bogota, Colombia, specimens purchased from J.M.
