HOLOTYPE: AMNH 188022 About AMNH , adult male, collcted at Carapas , ca. 10.12N, 63.56W ( Paynter, 1982), Mt. Turumiquire, Sucre, Venezuela, on 13 April 1925, by George H.H. Tate (no. 604). GoogleMaps
COMMENTS: Chapman cited the AMNH number of the holotype in the original
description and noted that he examined nine
specimens, all from the type locality. There are six paratypes in AMNH: AMNH 188630–188635, one male, one female, four sex?, collected 31 March–11April 1925 by Tate and Clements. Tate (1931) described the ascent of Mt. Turumiquire.
