Material examined.

New Brunswick, York Co., Charters Settlement, 45.8430°N, 66.7275°W, 17.VI.2007, R. P. Webster, regenerating mixed forest, sweeping foliage in brushy opening (1, RWC).

Collection and habitat data.

Bagous spp. are associated with wetland plants such as Nymphaea ( Nymphaeaceae ), Eleocharis and Carex ( Cyperaceae ), and Potamogeton ( Potamogetonaceae ) ( O’Brien and Marshall 1979).The specimen of Bagous obliquus from New Brunswick was swept from foliage in a brushy opening in a regenerating mixed forest (20 years old) near a small marsh in June.
