Etymology. The species is named after Mr. Minlang Xiong (son of the collector); noun (name) in genitive case.
Diagnosis. The new species is similar to P. altiventris Yoshida, 1985 by having a similarly-shaped opisthosoma. However, the new species can be distinguished by the oval copulatory ducts (vs. belt-like in P. altiventris ).
Description. Female (holotype). Total length 2.84; carapace 0.80 long, 0.69 wide, opisthosoma 2.04 long, 1.26 wide. Eye sizes and interdistances: AME 0.08, ALE 0.06, PME 0.07, PLE 0.05, AME–AME 0.07, AME–ALE 0.09, PME–PME 0.06, PME–PLE 0.18, AME–PME 0.05, ALE–PLE 0.02. Chelicerae with three promarginal teeth. Leg measurements: I 2.12 (0.72, 0.77, 0.33, 0.30), II 2.06 (0.69, 0.74, 0.32, 0.31), III 1.58 (0.51, 0.52, 0.26, 0.29), IV 1.92 (0.65, 0.67, 0.31, 0.29).
Coloration ( Fig. 56 View Figure 56 ). Carapace dark brown, with white setae. Chelicerae, endites and labium brown. Sternum yellow-brown. Legs dark brown with paler yellow ring pattern. Opisthosoma shield-shaped, dark brown, with seven conical apophyses, covered with white setae. Spinnerets yellow-brown.
Epigyne ( Fig. 55 View Figure 55 ). Epigynal plate with hood. Copulatory openings under hood. Copulatory ducts oval. Spermathecae oval. The diameter of spermathecae is twice the diameter of copulatory ducts. Fertilization duct terminus curved, directed toward clock 11:00 position from spermathecae.
Male. Unknown.
Material examined. Holotype ♀ (IZCAS-Ar43975), China: Fujian, Fuzhou, Jin’an District, Shoushan , Jiufeng Village , 19 September 2022, Yi Zheng leg.
Distribution. Known only from the type locality.
