Conservation status: Good condition; pinned ( Fig. 42 ).

Additional notes: Neotype designation in Sanborn & Phillips (2004). Originally described as Cicada superba Fitch, 1855 , and subsequently given the new combination Neotibicen superbus ( Fitch, 1855) by Hill et al. (2015).
