Strophopteryx appalachia Ross & Ricker, 1975 View in CoL
was originally described from Virginia and has been reported from adjacent states of North Carolina ( Kondratieff et al. 1995), Tennessee, and South Carolina ( Unzicker & McCaskill 1982 Stark et al. 1986, Stewart & Stark 1988, Kondratieff et al. 1995,). This species of Brachypterainae was collected from a 2 nd order stream in the Piedmont Plateau Physiographic Province, 51.5 km northwest of Atlanta, Georgia and the Chattooga River at the South Carolina border.
