is widely distributed in the southeastern and midwestern United States and has been reported from adjacent states of Alabama, Tennessee ( Stark 1990) and North Carolina ( Lenat et al. 2009). This species was collected from a low elevation 4 th order stream in the Ridge and Valley Physiographic Province of northwestern Georgia.
