Diagnosis. Antennal scape yellow, pedicel obscure yellow. Wing light brownish yellow, with cells c and sc obscure yellow, outer radial cells, medial cells, and out end of cell cua1 with macrotrichia. Lower margin of tergite 9 medially with a broad lobe. Lobe of gonostylus slender, bent backwards; clasper of gonostylus laterally with a long and pointed ridge extending beyond posterior crest.

Description. Male. Body length 8.0 mm, wing 12.0 mm.

Head ( Figs. 11, 12 View FIGURES 10 – 13 ). Rostrum brown. Vertex obscure yellow, medially slightly swelled; occiput dark brown. Eyes black. Hairs on head black. Antenna 4.0 mm long; scape yellow, pedicel obscure yellow; first flagellomere much longer than other segments, basally dark yellowish brown, apically passing into blackish brown; other flagellomeres blackish brown, long and cylindrical; terminal two flagellomeres very short; first flagellomere posteriorly with long hairs at middle, flagellomeres 2–9 posteriorly with long hairs at base. Hairs on antenna black. Labellum black; palpus blackish brown.

Thorax ( Fig. 13 View FIGURES 10 – 13 ). General brown. Pronotum brown; mesonotal prescutum dark brown, centrally with a broad brown longitudinal stripe; scutum dark brown, with central yellowish brown; scutellum brown; mediotergite brown, with grayish pruinescence. Wing ( Fig. 21) light brownish yellow with cells c and sc obscure yellow. Stigma light brown. M1 and M2 with spur at middle in right wing. Dense macrotrichia in outer radial and medial cells, even middle portion of radial cells with macrotrichia, sparse macrotrichia in out end of cell cua1. Veins brownish. Halter with stem obscure yellow, knob brown.

Abdomen. Ground color obscure yellow. Tergites 1–8 obscure yellow with posterior margin yellowish brown and lateral margin blackish brown. Venter dark brown.

Tergite 9 ( Fig. 32 View FIGURES 31 – 34 ) black, posterior margin with two small finger-like processes; lower posterior margin medially with a relatively broad lobe, above it with three small lobes. Lobe of gonostylus ( Fig. 33 View FIGURES 31 – 34 ) long and slender, rod-like, bent backwards at basal 1/3, bearing long hairs; clasper of gonostylus ( Fig. 34 View FIGURES 31 – 34 ) broad, laterally with a pointed process and a long and pointed ridge, the former bent backwards and the latter extending beyond posterior crest, beak very small, dosal crest with a broad process, basal beak obtuse.

Female. Unknown.

Type material. Holotype male, Guizhou: Suiyang, Kuankuoshui (N 28°14ʹ, E 107°11ʹ, 1400 m), 2010. VI. 4, Dan Zhou.

Distribution. China (Guizhou).

Remarks. This new species is similar to D. (S.) fasciventris Alexander, 1973 , but it can be separated from the latter by the middle lobe of tergite 9 which is longer and broader than the lateral pair; rod-like lobe of gonostylus; a long pointed process and a long pointed ridge on the clasper of gonostylus laterally, beak very small. In D. (S.) fasciventris , the lobe of gonostylus is expanded outwardly; beak of the clasper of gonostylus is long and pointed ( Alexander 1973).

Etymology. Name of the new species refers to the long pointed ridge of the clasper of gonostylus.
