5. Comolia microphylla Bentham (1840: 295) View in CoL . Type:—British Guiana [ GUYANA]. 1837, R.H. Schomburgk 106 (lectotype designated by Wurdack 1993: K! [K000261631]; isolectotypes: negative of B at F! [F0 BN016841 View Materials ], BR! [BR0000008930996], E! [E00505209], F! [F0360435F], TCD! [TCD0005165]).
Notes:— Comolia microphylla was described from R.H. Schomburgk 106, but without a duplicate indicated as type ( Bentham 1840). Wurdack (1993) indicated the specimen at K (K000261631, Figure 4 View FIGURE 4 ) as the holotype of C. microphylla , which is an inadvertent lectotypification (see Article 7.11 of the ICN). This material at K was certainly analyzed by George Bentham (1800–1884), as suggested by the Herbarium Benthamianum stamp in this sheet ( Figure 4 View FIGURE 4 ), as Bentham identified and distributed the collections of the Schomburgk brothers ( Romero-González & Campbell 2001).
