Description
Adult ( Figure 2C View Figure 2 ). Wing expanse 18.5 mm. Head grey-white, grey-brown at middle posteriorly. Antenna with scape deep grey on dorsal surface, yellow-white on ventral surface; flagellum lutescent, with dark brown annuli on dorsal surface. Labial palpus white, second segment with basal three-quarters brown on outside; third segment yellow, with a thin fuscous ring at base. Thorax grey, yellow-white on posterior margin. Tegula yellow, somewhat grey. Fore wing ground colour pale grey-brown; costal margin gently arched, basal one-third dark brown, distal two-thirds yellow; termen truncate, black, bordered by yellow-white following inner side; longitudinal yellow band along subcosta, with dispersed brown scales between costa and subcosta; black spot placed between distal of R 2 and R 3; two large black dorsal patches edged with yellow-white: first patch triangular, ranging from base to one-third, upward exceeding two-thirds width dorsoapically, outside slightly arched; second patch irregularly trapezoidal, from between ventral two-fifths and four-fifths reaching upward to four-fifths width, sinuate marginally; cilia pale white. Hind wing deep grey, cilia pale white. Fore leg white, tibia deep brown on outside, tarsus deep brown on outside at base, scattered with brown scales at apex, with black spots terminally; midleg white, fuscous on outside, with diffused light brown scales at apex; hind leg white to yellow, tibia dark brown on outside, yellow distally.
Male genitalia ( Figure 3C View Figure 3 )
Uncus wide at base, narrowed to acute apex. Gnathos slender. Valva with basal twothirds about same width, distal one-third slightly narrowed to rounded apex; costa gently arched; dorsoproximal process expanded in small colliculum, densely setose. Sacculus broad, about same width, heavily sclerotized, nearly as long as costa, sinuate on dorsal margin, obviously concave at dorsal two-thirds, apex blunt. Juxta somewhat heart-shaped, lateral lobe setose. Aedeagus sturdy, apex oblique, forming a pointed process; cornutus consisting of a group of spines.
Distribution
China (Guizhou).
Diagnosis
This species is represented by the fore wing having two large black patches, and the sacculus is about same width and sinuate on dorsal margin.
