Type Locality: Dem. Rep. Congo, Medje.
Vernacular Names: Latona's Shrew.
Distribution: Lowland rainforest of NE Dem. Rep. Congo.
Conservation: IUCN – Vulnerable.
Discussion: Known by a few specimens only. Recently found in the Masako Forest, near Kisangani ( Dudu et al., In Press).
