Diagnosis. The combination of an antennal funicle with six antennomeres, transverse sutures of antennal club, shallowly emarginate eye, contiguous procoxae, and concealed scutellar shield distinguish this genus from Carphoborus (Polygraphini), Carphotoreus Wood, 1973 (Phloeosinini), Chaetophloeus (Chaetophloeini), and Phloeosinus (Phloeosinini).
