Enghoff, O. Lomholdt. O. Martin leg. (ZMUC 00020530). Male: TANZANIA, East Usambara Mts., Amani, 1000 m, 15/VII/1979, M. Stoltze leg. (ZMUC 00021429). Male: TANZANIA, East Usambara Mts., Amani, 1000 m, 28/XII/1975, E. Wederhinch leg. (ZMUC 00020610).

Diagnosis: Resembles the genus Allontogonus, but has very big square teeth on the limbus also on the dorsal side. Five supralabral setae. Coxal apex does not, as in the Allantogonus species, fold basad over the anterior side, but is distad. Telomere long and folded to a tube with a big lamella wrapped around the base. Solenomere long and simple. A. denticulatus furthermore has teeth on the inside of the telomere apex. Basomeric spine present, no telomeric or solenomeric spines.

Etymology: Named after the small teeth-like structures on the gonopod telomere apex ( denticulatus lt. for denticulate).

Description (based on all specimens): Body length 25-27mm, diameter 1,8-2mm, 50-52 podous body rings.

Coloration: Head and antennae yellowish brown, with two yellow spots between the antennae. Brown from antennae towards collum, yellow towards labrium. Collum yellowish brown. Body and legs yellow but some specimens more brownish than others. Telson yellow ranging to brown on some specimens.

Head and body: 1+3+1 supralabral setae and a row of labral setae. Antennae reaching back to body ring 6. Distal margin of mandibular stipes bilobed, ventral lobe bigger, ranging in size from somewhat bigger to much bigger. Lateral end of collum square, with two distinct furrows. Metazonites with furrows ventrally. Anal valves (fig. 4) with three setae each attached to tubercles, evenly distributed dorsal to ventral on posterior edge, and with a distinct dorsal spine. With postfemoral and tibial pads on male legs. Limbus (fig. 2) with very big square teeth.

Gonopods (fig. 13–16): Coxa with both a distad lateral lobe (ll) and a distad median proplical lobe (pl) 2/3 towards the apex, proplica far larger and overreaching metaplica. Proplica narrows after the lobes, but considerately more at the median side, after which it widens again into a flat and rounded triangular apex (pa). Mesal metaplical flange ends in a mesad lobe (mmf), just as a lobular metaplical process (mp) is situated just distal to it, curving and merging posteriorly, thus making the metaplica appear to widen and expand mesad to accommodate the telopodite arculus and torsotope. A narrow elongate metaplical flange (pmf) runs posteriorly from lobular metaplical process to half way up the proplical apex where it attaches. Telopodite: large posttorsal basomeric spine (bs) and narrowing present on basomere. Telomere long and ribbon-shaped, folded into a tube with a large rounded lamella (btl) wrapped around the base of telomere and solenomere. Telomere apex with teeth (tt) situated on the inside. Solenomere long and simple, whip-like, protruding from telomere just distally to the telomeric lamella; appears to be either hollow or tightly folded to a tube, however it is unclear if it applies to the whole solenomere or just the apex.
