Aegeria exochiformis Walker, 1856: 58 View in CoL . Holotype Ƥ ( Fig. 10 View FIGURES 1 – 12 ): Sierra Leone (BMNH).
Hampson 1919: 62 ( Synanthedon View in CoL ); Dalla Torre & Strand 1925: 23 ( Synanthedon View in CoL ); Gaede 1929: 522 ( Synanthedon View in CoL ); Heppner & Duckworth 1981: 31 ( Synanthedon View in CoL ); Pühringer & Kallies 2004: 28 ( Synanthedon View in CoL ).
Remarks. The holotype of Aegeria exochiformis is a badly damaged and nearly completely de-scaled female and not a male as mentioned in the original description. It is here transferred to Camaegeria based on the typical shape of body and wings, the smooth-scaled labial palp and the frons with white adjacent to the eye. Another taxon from Sierra Leone, C. monogama , might be conspecific with C. exochiformis (see above).
