Syntypes: ZSM 43 View Materials /0; RMNH 1836 (lectotipo).
Type locality: “Iuxta flumen Teffé,” Brazil.
Distribution: Region 5. Widely distributed in Amazon Region lowlands, through Colombia, Peru, Bolivia, Brazil, Venezuela, Guyana, and Suriname. In Venezuela, known only from northeastern Bolívar State and adjacent Delta Amacuro.
