Notes: ―The taxonomic significance of the voucher ‘South-West Africa [Namibia], Seeheim, 750 m elev.., 28 April 1903, Engler 6609a (K-000243969!; see http://plants.jstor.org; scan filed under S. armata )’ is controversial. There are two identifications available on the sheet of this voucher ( S. minutiflora, C.A. Smith, Oct 1928 ; S. armata, Botschantzev , 5 March 1971). A note on the herbarium sheet reads ‘portion of the type specimen’, however this is obviously an error since the type of S. armata is Dinter 5094 (see above).
Distribution: ―Namibia: Keetmanshoop and Helmeringshausen Districts, Sperrgebiet; South Africa (NC): Bushmanland.
