Type:― SOUTH AFRICA. Cape Prov. [Northern Cape Prov.]: Gordonia, Kalahari National Gemsbok Park, 12 miles NW of Kwang Pan, calcareous sandy clay in marginal zone of dry river-bed of Nossob River, c. 3150 ft elev., 17 November 1959, Leistner 1489 (holotype K-000243936! ; isotype PRE-0370826!) .

Distribution: ―Namibia ( Botschantzev 1974a): Kalahari; South Africa (NC): Gordonia.
