Sympotthastia takatensis (Tokunaga)

Sympotthastia takatensis ( Tokunaga, 1936: 531–532) (as Syndiamesa ); Makarchenko (1994: 56–57, Figs. 10–13 ). Sympotthastia toyamayezea Sasa, 1996: 44 –45, Fig. 33 a–w. [Holotype 274: 064.] S yn. nov.

The following characters of the holotype of Sympotthastia toyamayezea were overlooked in the original description by Sasa (1996): a small spiniform anal point on tergite IX; apically rounded median aedeagal lobe; and lateral aedeagal lobe with spines, almost half as long as median aedeagal lobe ( Figs. 27–28 ). These characters and other morphological details allow us to place S. toyamayezea in synonymy with S. takatensis (Tokunaga) .
