Type. Male holotype, PERU, 20 mi SE Moyobamba , Dpto. San Martin, 1–30.vi.1947, Felix Woytkowski leg. ( AMNH).
Additional material examined. None.
Etymology. The species epithet is a noun in apposition taken from the type locality.
Diagnosis. Males of Gelanor moyobamba n. sp. can be distinguished from other Gelanor species by the angular edge of the cymbial flap ( Figs. 43 View FIGURE 43 F, H). Females are unknown.
Description. Male holotype. Habitus as in Figs. 43 View FIGURE 43 A–D. Total length 4.71. Carapace light orange; Cephalothorax 2.53 long, 1.88 wide, 1.11 high. Abdomen 2.18 long, 1.88 wide, 1.61 high. Sternum light yellow, 1.22 long, 0.94 wide. Labium 0.36 long, 0.29 wide; light orange. Clypeus 0.13 high; AME interdistance 0.16; PME interdistance 0.09; PME–AME distance 0.13; AME–ALE distance 0.16; PME–PLE distance 0.26. Chelicerae light yellow; ChL 0.92; ChW1 0.40; ChW2 0.39. Cymbium wider than long (0.54 long, 0.72 wide). Cymbial flap with the top edge flat and the distal edge in an angle ( Figs. 43 View FIGURE 43 F, H). Female unknown.
Variation. Unknown, only one adult male available for study.
Distribution. Only known from its type locality in San Martín, Peru ( Fig.48 View FIGURE 48 ).
