Distribution in Iran. Fars ( Wagner 1968), Guilan ( Linnavuori 2007), Kerman ( Hoberlandt 1989), Khorasan ( Hoberlandt 1989; Linnavuori & Modarres Awal 1998; Linnavuori 2007), Sistan & Baluchestan ( Seidenstücker 1957), Tehran ( Hoberlandt 1955, 1989), northern Iran (no locality cited) ( Lindberg 1938).
General distribution. Turanian: Kazakhstan (Asian part), China (north), Kirgizia, Mongolia, Russia (East Siberia), Tadzhikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan.
Comments. On Pteropyrum aucheri (Polygonaceae) ( Linnavuori & Modarres Awal 1998).
Note. Jakovlev (1875) described Platymelus christophi from Sarepta, however, the type locality was mistaken; Tshernova (1979: 579) designated a lectotype from Iran.
