Description. Female. Integument dark brown; basal half of antennal segments 3 to 6 light brown; basal half of femora yellow. Body with dark-brown pubescence predominating. Occiput, posterior half of pronotum (excepting a round, dark-brown patch), and a small patch on each side of the elytral base covered by goldenyellow pubescence. Whitish-gray pubescence covers the sides of prothorax and base of pronotum, and forms a longitudinal line from base to apical third, and a transverse ante-apical band. Antennae exceeding elytral apices by 5 segments; scape gradually dilated toward apex, with short sparse setae beneath. Prothorax with lateral tubercles acute; pronotum with a transverse row of sparse punctures on posterior margin. Elytra with setae on entire surface; finely punctate on basal 3/4, apical ¼ with only setigerous punctures; elytral apices obliquely truncate, slightly sinuous, outer angles acutely spinose. Urotergite 5 with truncate at apex; urosternite 5 semicircularly emarginate.

Measurements (mm), female. Total length, 8.8; prothorax length, 1.8; prothorax width, 2.0; elytral length, 6.5; humeral width, 2.5.

Etymology. Latin, amoenus, meaning agreeable.

Type material. Holotype. Female, VENEZUELA, Falcón: Yaracal, 20.II.1984 (V. Kozeny leg.) ( MNRJ).
