Corpus bursae ovate; signum plate with two large spines anteriorly, three medium sized conic spines, and 4–5 minute conic spines.
Distribution. Uganda ( Meyrick 1931; Clarke 1964; De Prins & De Prins 2019).
Remarks. This species was described as a species of Homaloxestis from Kampala, Uganda, based on a single male. However, the species does definitely belong to Furcalis Park, 2018 , by having the distinct diagnostic characters in the venation and the male genital character of this genus, and thus, is transferred here to this genus as F. hemigastra ( Meyrick, 1931) , comb. nov. The female is reported and illustrated for the first time.
