Fruit: Used as tonic and digestive.
Note.
Fresh immature seeds are considered poisonous.
Notes.
In China, the whole plant is pounded and applied to boils; the seed is used as a bechic, stomatic, and tonic, also to strengthen the kidney ( Duke and Ayensu 1985).
