Collected originally in India from fern, none of the specimens collected in China and listed below were from fern. This species belongs to hospes section, but the brown head with a long neck-like constriction behind the eyes, and abdominal tergites pale without any sculpture ( Figs 3 View FIGURES 1–12 , 40 View FIGURES 40–50 ), are different from other members of that section.
Specimens examined. China, Guizhou , Tongren City, Fanjingshan National Nature Reserve , 2 females from Euscaphis japonica and 1 female from bamboo, 11.viii.2017 (Yajin Li); Anlong County, Xianheping National Forest Park, 1 female from Setaria plicata , 31.viii.2016 (Xueqiang Yan).
