According to Müller et al. (2012c), this species has East European-Turanian distribution, from Ukraine, Turkey and Iran to Central Asia and Western China. In the Arab countries of the Middle East, pallens was collected in Iraq and Jordan ( Abbassian-Lintzen 1964; Müller et al. 2011). It seems rare and local species; collected once in Jordan ( Müller et al. 2012c).
