Tabanus miki View in CoL is a Palearctic species, widely distributed throughout Europe, also recorded in North Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, and Iran ( Abbassian-Lintzen 1964). It was recorded from Iraq in a work aimed to study the seasonality and relative abundance of deer and horseflies ( Sabr 2018). This species shows a wide variety of abdomen coloration, frontal callus (shape and color), antennae coloration, and postocular margin pubescence ( Olsufjev 1970).
