Tabanus biguttatus View in CoL is distributed through Afrotropical region except Congo basin ( Sasaki 2005). This species is known from Saudi Arabia and Yemen ( Amoudi 1989; Ježek et al. 2017). Tabanus biguttatus View in CoL breeds in temporary water bodies and lays the eggs in a spherical mass on grass and reeds, with each mass containing up to 450 eggs ( Oldroyd 1954). The male, according to Oldroyd (1954), prefers tree trunks and huge stones or boulders.
