Pangonius theodori ( Zeegers, Kravchenko & Müller, 2013) View in CoL
Pangonius theodori View in CoL was described from Palestine ( Zeegers et al. 2013). It was taken from a Lythrum salicaria View in CoL -rich meadow with scattered oaks and Pistacia View in CoL trees ( Zeegers et al. 2013). This species closely resembles Pangonius sobradieli (Séguy 1934) View in CoL and Pangonius argentatus ( Szilády 1923) View in CoL , however the differences clearly distinguish theodori View in CoL from sobradieli View in CoL and argentatus ( Zeegers et al. 2013) View in CoL . Face of P. theodori View in CoL is bare, whereas sobradieli View in CoL face largely covered with greyish dust. Moreover, tergites of theodori View in CoL is less with balck hair. The male of theodori's face has a pattern of dust that is similar to that of argentatus View in CoL . The characteristic black pattern on the tergites, the dark femora, and the highly darkened wings set this species apart. ( Zeegers et al. 2013)
