Remarks. Hyperperacera was described based on one species from southern Chile, characterized by vein R 4+5 simple and arista placed slightly before the end of the very small postpedicel. According to Sinclair & Cumming (2007, p. 37), it is mostly likely congeneric with Heterophlebus Philippi.
