2. Tapinoma nitida   HNS .

T. nigra, lævis, nitida; alis hyalinis, nervuris pallide testaceis.

Female. Length 41/4 lines. Shining black; the antennæ and the head, before their insertion, ferruginous. Thorax oblong-ovate; the legs dark ferruginous, the tarsi palest; the wings hyaline, the nervures pale testaceous; the discoidal cell triangular. The scale of the peduncle inclining forwards and overhung by the base of the abdomen; the latter oblong-ovate, very smooth and shining.
