Type:— MALAYSIA. Sarawak: Mt. Linga, 1867, O. Beccari 55 (lectotype FI-2799!, isotypes JE, PC-103103) .

Ξ Metahygrobiella mollusca (De Not.) R.M.Schust., Bryologist 64: 206, 1961 ( Schuster 1961).
