Holotype: FMNH 59089 About FMNH (formly CM 8226 ) (340 TL), Hatchery at Shori.
Paratype: SU 18302 (1), Shori, sent by M. Oshima .
Remark. This species was introduced from China. The 340 mm TL specimen used in the original was designated as lectotpye by Eschmeyer (1998). Data from two additional specimens was provided in the original description, and one specimen (SU 18302) designated as paralectotype was relocated by us.
