DISTRIBUTION: From San Francisco Bay to Estero Bay (WC California, USA).

SYNONYMS: sanctiluciae Grinnell.

COMMENTS: Revised by Grinnell (1922). May be conspecific with elephantinus (see comment under that species); also see Hall (1981:576).
