Stenoloba basiviridis Draudt, 1950 View in CoL
( Fig. 28 View FIGURES 24–29 )
Stenoloba basiviridis Draudt, 1950 View in CoL , Mitteilungen der Münchener Entomologischen Gesellshaft, 40(1): 132, Pl. 8: 19. Type locality: China, West Tien-mu-Shan , 1600 m. Holotype: female, preserved in ZFMK, Bonn.
Kononenko & Ronkay, 2000, Insecta Koreana View in CoL 17(3): 168, figs. 27, 70.
Material examined. Holotype Stenoloba basiviridis (ZFMK) ; 1 male, Prov. Fujian, Shanghang, Gonghe , 21.vii.1988 (coll. F. Jiang); 1 male, Prov. Fujian, Taipingqiao, 23.vi.1989 (coll. S.C. Qi); 1 male, Prov. Hunan, Guzhanggaowangjie, 29.vii.1988 (coll. Y.X. Chen).
Diagnosis. Differs externally from related species by broad forewings, brownish ash-grey ground colour with light greenish tint and contrast salad-green basal field. The species has been described from Prov. Shaanxsi (West Tien-mu-Shan) based on a single female ( Draudt 1950). Kononenko & Ronkay (2000) tentatively placed it close to the newly described species S. dominula . The examination of the male genitalia confirms the placement of the species.
Male genitalia ( Fig. 28 View FIGURES 24–29 ). Similar to S. dominula , but smaller in size. Uncus developed, flattened, relatively long, but shorter that in S. dominula ; tegumen high, narrow, vinculum shorter than in S. dominula ; juxta deltoid. Valva simple, with parallel margins, somewhat narrower than in S. dominula , apically rounded, apex with numerous spine-like setae; sacculus with broad lobe, narrower than in S. dominula . Aedeagus large, wider than in S. dominula ; vesica tubular, curved ventrally, sack-like in central part, with large, semi globular diverticulum bearing strong, thorn-like cornutus. Female genitalia described by Kononenko & Ronkay (2000).
Distribution. Central and South China (Provinces Fujan, Shaanxi and Hainan).
