See K. hardwickii . Currently known distribution of K. dongduongana only incorporates the Annamite Mountains, but it might extend into northern Thailand. Monotypic.

Descriptive notes. Tail 38 mm (type specimen), forearm 30-33 mm; weight 4-5 g (type specimen). Furis long, dense, and silky. Dorsal pelage is buff brown to dark brown; venter is paler and grayer. Bare parts of face, ears, and membranes are dark brown, and membranes are semi-translucent. Ears are funnel-shaped, and fold extends from base of ear to halfway up posterior margin; tragus is long and pointed, with distinct basal notch, curving slightly outward at tip, and is generally pale with dark or uniformly pale tip. Wings are attached at base of toes, and calcar is well developed and curved. Skull is small, lightly built, and similar to the Dark Woolly Bat ( K. furva ) and the Flat-skulled Woolly Bat ( K. depressa ), which overlap in skull shape morphometrically; lateral view ofskull is flattened from rostrum to forehead (unlike most hardwickirlike species with domed skulls but like that of the Flatskulled Woolly Bat); and rostrum is short. I’ is one-third to one-half the height of I2, P? and P* are larger than P°, and upper molars are similar in size.

Status and Conservation. Not assessed on The IUCN Red List. The Indochinese Woolly Bat is currently known only from a relatively restricted area that might be affected by deforestation.
