Genus Simognathus Trouessart, 1889

Diagnosis: Sclerotized body with a short, conical gnathosoma. Dorsal plates foveate throughout. Three­segmented pedipalps dorsally attached on gnathosoma. Tibia I bearing an apical spine. Tarsus I with a heavy medial claw. Genua I lacks bipectinate seta.
