Type:— Rhabdosciadium aucheri Boissier.
Perennial herbaceous caespitose plants with sparse stems, covered with fibrous collar. Stems glabrous, solid, striate, erect, ± junciformis. Basal leaves pinnate or 2-pinnate, with well-formed rosette, often leaves evanescent. Umbels tiny, terminal or lateral, umbellules single-fruited; central flower of umbellules hermaphroditic, ± sessile, exterior flowers mainly male, on pedicles. Petals white, white with brownish lines or pink. Fruits linear-cylindrical, glabrous with filiform ribs.
