Ecological note.

In dry ridges and slopes with Saxifraga oppositifolia , mosses and lichens; in mosses and lichens; among stones and plants (e.g. Buellia sorotia , Dicranoweisia crispula , Parmelia alpicola , Saxifraga oppositifolia , Salix polaris ); on stones of shingly raised beaches (all Svalbard records).
