Protaphorura sakatoi ( Yosii, 1966)

Material examined: Iran: Mazandaran Province, Babol county, Filband forest , 1950 m a.s.l. (36º22ʹ12ʺ N, 52º30ʹ45ʺ E), soil and leaf litter, leg. Eliye Yahyapour, 25 August 2016, 1 male, 1 female and 5 juveniles . Tonekabon county, Dohezar forest , 443 m a.s.l. (36º40ʹ21.7ʺ, 50º49ʹ28.5ʺ E), soil and leaf litter, leg. Eliye Yahyapour, 10 November 2016, 1 male and 3 females .

Distribution and ecology. Eastern Palaearctic species. Already recorded in the Iranian provinces of Mazandaran, Golestan and Kermanshah ( Shayanmehr et al. 2020). It was found mostly in forest soil and leaf litter.
