Holotype male in MZSP.

Type locality: 90 km NE Manaus, WWF-INPA Reserve km 41, in palm tree inflorescences, Amazonas State, Brazil.

Distribution: Brazil: Amazonas State; Costa Rica: Puntarenas Province ( minutus ); Ecuador: Francisco de Orellana, Napo, Pastaza, and Tungurahua Provinces; Mexico: Chiapas State; Panama: Canal Zone and Panamá Province; Peru: Cuzco Department.

= E. minutus Peck & Cook, 2005: 293 ; Salgado 2011d: 49 syn. (male paratype seen). Holotype male in IN- BIO. Type locality: Rincon de Osa, 8º41.141’ N 83º31.117’ W, 40 m, Puntarenas Province, Costa Rica.
