Remarks. This genus has not been treated thoroughly since the original description and the depository of the type specimens of Efflatouniella aegyptiaca was previously unknown. According to this study, the diagnostic characters of this genus are based on examination of the cotype which is preserved in CUC—collected from Abu Rawash 16.VIII.1925 - and the remnant part of the holotype (only the left wing, specimen destroyed by dermestid beetles) which is preserved in ESEC—collected from Kerdassa 10.VII.1926. Together with the type and cotype specimens, it was found the invalid name labels (genus name) Efflatounia aegyptiaca Krb. Ƥ Kröber det. 1926.
