Gryllotalpa gryllotalpa (Linnaeus, 1758)

Distribution in Turkey: This species has a wide distribution covering most of Turkey ( Karabağ, 1958).

Material examined: Hakkari: Bayköy , 37°32´897´´N, 43°42´700´´E, 2035 m, 13.VII.2018, 1♂, (leg. M. S. Taylan & Ş. Beyter); Şemdinli, near the Seyid Taha Türbesi, 37°17´569´´N, 44°31´147´´E, 1384 m, 27.V.2019, 1♂, (leg. M.S. Taylan, C. Yılmaz & M. Erdek);

Notes: New record for Orthoptera fauna of Hakkari Province.

Remarks: Although it has been reported in the literature that all of the populations in Turkey belong to this species, we suggest that more than one species is represented. For now, we have given the individuals we examined with their general morphological characteristics as G. gryllotalpa .
