Discovered in Murici ( Teixeira & Gonzaga, 1985) and later recorded in three other localities in the state of Pernambuco, the species is currently recorded only in the Murici Ecological Station ( Pereira et al., 2014a), wherein the population is estimated at less than 30 individuals ( GonÇalves & Efe, 2022).
