Four specimens collected at Fazenda Santa Justina on 16 March 1987 ( MNRJ 34926-34929 View Materials ; Teixeira et al., 1988) are the only documented records in Alagoas. The species was reported to be extremely sought by bird trap-
pers in Murici and was often found in local markets in Maceió during the 1980 and early 1990s (Fernando Pinto pers. comm.). Undocumented records at Mata do Cedro ( Campos et al., 2018) are possibly misidentifications.
