Previous northernmost records in Brazil are from the states of Bahia and Sergipe ( Lima et al., 2004; Sousa et al., 2005; Somenzari et al., 2018). One carcass found at Gunga Beach on 6 July 2018 is the only record in Alagoas ( Fig. 5 View Figure 5 ).
