Type Locality: China, Sichuan, "Lun-ngan'-fu" (= Liangfu).
Vernacular Names: Salenski's Shrew.
Distribution: Known only from the type locality in N Sichuan.
Conservation: IUCN – Critically Endangered as Soriculus salenskii .
Discussion: Related to C. smithii .
